Design Project Manager (Bothell, WA)
The Design Project Manager sits within Philips Oral Healthcare’s Experience Design team, responsible for design operations, design budget and design project management, with a focus on shaping user experience through product innovation and brand experiences of Philips Sonicare in both physical and digital domains.
Your role:
- Scope, plan, resource, orchestrate and realize design delivery to meet commitments and design objectives on time and quality. Ensure proper project closure, archival and evaluation, and report project and program status in a structured and transparent way.
- Work with the Design Leader to scope and estimate the annual design budget and deliver on agreed design program within the assigned budget. Manage quotes, invoices, purchase orders, and billing through Philips systems in support of design projects.
- Work in compliance with established process and drive continuous improvements and introduce new processes where necessary.
- Maintain a network of design agencies, freelance pool and contract agreements, including conducting annual evaluation and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Design Leader to build a high performance, empowered design team with strong collaborative culture with psychological safety.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 5+ years of relevant working experience, managing projects from idea through implementation with evidence of business impact. Prior experience working in a creative environment managing design projects (in-house or agency)—highly preferred.
- Your skills include:
- The ability to prepare, lead, and implement complex Design projects, in accordance with agreed conditions on specification, time, cost, and staffing.
- Expertise in both waterfall and agile project management processes and know-how.
- Ability to deal with complexity, and to develop a winning plan.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re a fast learner with a strong drive for personal development. You are flexible and adaptive—you know when to introduce structure, and when to embrace ambiguity to achieve the desired outcome. You have strong business acuman, business insight to balance stakeholders, direct work, ensure accountability, and build effective teams.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $101,250 to $162,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
