Conagra Brands - Centralia, home of Duncan Hines, is looking to add to our 3rd shift maintenance team. You will work onsite at the Centralia, IL manufacturing plant and report to the Maintenance Manager. Maintenance technicians perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot/repair equipment issues as they arise.
Pay Rate: $28.15 / hr.
You Will:
- Replace, repair, adjust and modify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility and plant support equipment
- Test parts, assemblies, equipment and systems for proper operation, makes all necessary adjustments and records all modifications
- Initiate action, identifies and records defects to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system
- Assist production technicians with equipment set-ups, answer callouts from warehouse, and other departments
- Use and update shop prints and specifications and refer to manufacturer's manuals for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems
- Assist outside trades / specialists with repairs, replacements, adjustments, installations, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping, tools and infrastructure
- Complete "pass-over 'with previous and incoming technicians to ensure continuity from shift to shift
- Orders parts, equipment, tools
- Inspects work and work area, perform clean-up using proper tools and equipment, according to approved methods /procedures
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain clean and safe working environment observing Company procedures
- At the end of the shift complete all required paperwork / data entry, secure all equipment.
- Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety procedures
- Understand time sensitive escalation procedures
- Create and close out own work orders and add specs info to SAP system
- Control inventory parts using the SAP system
- Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor
You Have:
- High School Graduate or GED with two years prior maintenance experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding in a production environment or two-year technical degree. Must have an understanding of, but not limited to:
- Drive train- Belts, pulleys, sprockets and chain
- Basic electrical- 110 single phase and 480 & 230 v 3 phase
- Motor control
- Fabrication- welding, grinding and assembly
- Strong knowledge of motors, pumps, and valves
- Pneumatics- air valves and controls
- Boiler System Operations
- Chiller System Operations
- Refrigeration System Operations
- Basic Building Related Repairs
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to train other mechanics, be willing to be trained by other mechanics, and attend continued education courses
