The Purpose of Your Role
The Regional Vice President, Advanced Planning (RVP Advanced Planning) is a member of the leadership team within Fidelity's Advanced Planning and Leadership Development (APLD) organization and will report to the Head of APLD. The RVP Advanced Planning will help shape the future growth of APLD and provide key insights into strategy development, client engagement and experiences, and efforts to scale the delivery of advanced planning services and solutions to Fidelity Wealth Clients. The RVP Advanced Planning's primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of Advanced Planning services throughout an assigned region(s), including the advocacy, wholesaling, education and training of complex planning topics and their integration within Fidelity's planning ecosystem, including planning tools and solutions;
- Demonstrate an ability to become a critically important member of the Wealth Regional Leadership Team (ie: 7 regions and PWM)
- Forge strategic relationships with key leaders and stakeholders in the Investment Advisor Group to align strategy, support plan implementation and drive shared accountability for planning outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Advanced Planners
- Collaborate with the APLD leadership team to oversee and supervise the delivery of non-discretionary financial planning advice and recommendations to clients.
Travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of time, depending on physical proximity to regional sites and investor centers #ADVANCED PLANNING
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 10+ years in the financial services industry, with success leading client facing teams responsible for delivering and implementing financial planning solutions for High Net Worth and Ultra High-Net-Worth clients
- Proven ability to influence, coach and lead others
- Attract, hire, motivate and lead are critical skills and responsibilities. Assessment of associate skills, placement of resources, compensation decisions, development plan creation are all part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
- Any of the following designations preferred: CFP, CPA, JD, M.T., LLM in taxation, or CFA
- Demonstrated proficiency with complex financial planning concepts, including retirement and income planning, tax planning, and trust and estate planning
- Strong command of Fidelity's wealth and brokerage offerings, products, and solutions
- Commitment to Fidelity's Leadership Principles
- FINRA Series 7,66, 9 and 10 (obtained within 90-days of employment)

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $185,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
